A .450/.455 FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION 'CONSTABULARY' REVOLVER SIGNED CHAS INGRAM, GLASGOW, serial no. 675 (13),
almost certainly the product of W. Tranter circa 1885, with blued octagonal 3 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'CHAS. INGRAM, RENFIELD ST. GLASGOW', bead fore-sight, moulded sighting notch to end of the border and scroll engraved top-strap, the left side of barrel throat marked 'CONSTABULARY PATENT 675', spring-bar cylinder arbor release, blued cylinder with rope-twist engraved border to leading edge, solid frame (traces of colour), hinged loading gate and wingnut safe, swept chequered saw-handled grip with lanyard ring to the iron butt-cap and guarded trigger, fair amount of original finish
